Blood Innovations is a partnership of four blood centers;

 
Northern California Community Blood Bank in Eureka,
Stanford Medical School Blood Center in Palo Alto
Blood Source of Sacramento
and
Blood Bank of the Redwoods in Santa Rosa

This network of Northern California blood centers has a unique mission - the preservation of "community blood based programs". This program supports actions to safeguard and promote each blood center independently as well as collectively. Blood Innovations partners share many resources, including blood resources, human resources, medical and technical expertise, testing, program development and sometimes blood donors.

This innovative approach (thus the partnership's name), ensures that the partner blood centers can and will be able to meet the challenges of blood banking and healthcare while providing a safe and readily available blood supply that meets the demands of the community's hospitals and patients.
