The mission of the blood center is to provide a safe and adequate supply of blood to the patients we serve.To achieve this mission, sixty to seventy donors are needed daily.

Thomas A. Schallert Named President of America’s Blood Centers
Since 1990, Mr. Schallert has served as administrator of Northern California Community Blood Bank in Eureka, Calif. He began his blood services career in 1980 as a field representative and donor recruiter.
The bloodmobile visits Crescent City on the 1st
and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
The bloodmobile will also be in Fortuna on the 1st Wednesday of each month.
We regularly visit
other communities in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.

The Northern California Community Blood Bank is proud to be a member of America’s Blood Centers (ABC). ABC, in conjunction with Ortho-Clinical Diagnositcs, Inc. and Continental Airlines, has produced a short video explaining the need for blood donors in an effort to encourage new donors.
