Donor Care Specialist

$18.00–$20.00 / hour, plus premium pay opportunities
Be the friendly face donors remember. You'll register and screen donors, take vital signs, and draw blood at our Eureka donor center and at mobile blood drives across Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
Overview of duties
Performs donor registration and screening, taking vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
Draws blood from donors.
Works in the blood center and on mobile blood drives throughout Humboldt and Del Norte counties.
Willingness to drive Bloodmobiles considered a plus.
Maintains a professional image and represents the blood bank appropriately.
Consistently displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm, fostering friendly, professional relationships with donors and coworkers.
Ensures donor and patient safety at all times.
Job requirements
Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
Drive our mobile unit into the community, then help run the drive once you get there. No two days are the same — you'll meet neighbors from all over the North Coast.

Drives and performs daily maintenance on Bloodmobiles.
Performs donor registration and screening, taking vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. A willingness to learn phlebotomy is a plus (training provided on the job).
Works on mobile blood drives throughout Humboldt and Del Norte counties; may also work in the blood center.
Maintains a professional image and represents the blood bank appropriately.
Consistently displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm, fostering friendly, professional relationships with donors and coworkers.
Ensures donor and patient safety at all times.
Job requirements
Valid California driver's license, passes a DMV driver check, maintains a clean driving record, and meets minimum age/experience standards to be insurable on our auto policy.
